Our client is a part of a top-tier commodities trading group handling agricultural products like coffee, sugar, and molasses.

In the role of Trade business support, you will join a growth-focused environment where you'll learn all about the commercial side of their global operations. You'll work with commercial and operations teams to manage and execute purchases, sales, and inventory, gaining a solid understanding of the business before taking on more direct commercial responsibilities. A growth focused role, with an opportunity to develop in a global company, learning all aspects of the commercial environment, to allow a broad understanding of business before taking on more commercially focused responsibilities.

main responsibilities

* learning all aspects of the business, including process, operational and commercial requirements
* working with the operations team to execute business, to understand partners, costs and risks involved
* working with the commercial and operations teams to ensure business is planned and executed in line with identified objectives and customer service levels are optimised.
* to develop with the commercial team to identify and develop commercial opportunities
* interaction and communication with suppliers and clients, including finding new clients, to optimise commercial opportunities
* based in Prague, but with a requirement to travel internationally, to both clients and other ED&F Man offices

who you are

* fluent in English, other languages are a plus (Spanish, French, German)
* good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
* ability to analyze and solve problems
* willingness to work in a team and help the company succeed in the long run.
* interest in learning and developing in a business environment with the goal of growing into more business-focused roles
* ability to learn new things quickly and adapt to the company's needs
